To enter the Lutung cage, you must be brave, because they are naturally temperamental. They would bite and scratch you if they feel threatened by you. But they are not as smart as the orangutans.
Enrichment idea is to put a swing made of second car tire so Lutung got a toy to play. We think, he loves it. (Inggrid Christy, Orangufriends Samarinda)

Semangat pelajar SDN 004 Sambaliung, Kampung Tumbit Dayak, Kalimantan Timur sungguh luar biasa. Bersama Orangufriends Samarinda, mahasiswa KKN Unmul dan siswa COP School Batch #6, pada 19 Agustus 2016 yang bertepatan dengan International Orangutan Day berbagi cerita dengan 60 siswa Sambaliung ini. Orangutan adalah spesies payung yang menjadi pendukung keberhasilan upaya konservasi spesies lainnya. Seperti payung yang melindungi apapun yang berada dibawahnya.
