APE CRUSADER TO FIGHT FIRES
Forest fires rage across Borneo, causing systemic disaster for animal, people and environment. COP decided its APE Crusader Team to assist our ally FNPF around Tanjung Puting National Park in Central Kalimantan. The FNPF has replanting program to rehab the designated area for orangutan release. This area burnt very bad. They in urgent need for help. Our team drive for about 50 hours non stop from its base in North East Borneo. We teamed up with Hutan Group from Japan also. Once we arrive, we fight the fires. We do everything what we can do. We are just nothing when fighting against nature amok. It is test for our ego. It is doesn’t matter what is your organisation and no matter how important your in your organisation, we are all just nothing in the mid of smokes and fires. We forced to pause our work as we have very bad news. The house of Paulinus, our APE Crusader captain has burt down in West Kalimantan. His beloved grandpa also died in the accident.
Forest fires kills wildlife and human, also devastated the life of our team member. We do not give up. We will never stop our crusade. We will keep fighting to save wildlife. We would like to say thank you for your support.
