AUTOPSY RESULT OF ORANGUTAN KALAHIEN: SHOT AND BEHEADED
On Thursday evening, January 18th, 2018, held an autopsy or necropsy of an orangutan that found dead four day ago in the Barito river, Buntok Distik, Central Kalimantan. An Autopsy was conducted by the Central Kalimanta Regional Police by deploying its forensic team and assisted by the BOSF medical team, Center for Orangutan Protection (COP). The Autopsy was conducted at the site, the location of the orangutan was buried.
From an autopsy that ran for about two hours, the autopsy team revealed:
1. Confirmed it was an adult male orangutan.
2. At the neck, found 3 more injuries caused by sharp objects and makes the neck broke or cut.
3. Found 17 air rifle bullet: 1 bullet in left thigh, 14 bullets in the front of the body and 2 bullets at the back of the body.
4. There are 7 broken ribs on the left side.
5. Estimated death when found on Monday it’s have been 3 days prior.
6. The hull broke because of air rifle bullets.
7. The Heart is exposed to air rifle bullets
8. Lungs hit by the bullets
9. The chest on the left there is a bruise due to blunt object that cause the broken ribs.
10. The losses of hair caused by the flow of water.
11. No Microchip or clarified as wild orangutans.
12. Digestion is Normal, there are bark and leaves that have not been digested perfectly.
“Today’s autopsy result have proven that orangutan death due to humans, as evidence by the discovery of many air rifle bullets. Our strong suspicion of the death is because it was shot using an air rifle that went through the heart, lungs and stomach. Then the head was cut. Broken ribs and the cut of the head due the trim should make the Police and especially KLHK to be more excited about revealing this case. The authority of KLHK in this case is at stake, “said Ramadhani, COP’s Habitat Protection Manager.
The bodies of the orangutan after the autopsy were taken and buried in BOSF Nyaru Menteng for security reasons.

HASIL OTOPSI ORANGUTAN KALAHIEN: DITEMBAK DAN DIPENGGAL
Kamis petang tanggal 18 Januari 2018 telah dilakukan otopsi atau nekropsi terhadap mayat orangutan yang ditemukan tanpa kepala di sungai Barito, Kab. Buntok, Kalimantan Tengah setelah empat hari lalu ditemukan. Otopsi dilakukan oleh Polda Kalimantan Tengah dengan menurunkan tim forensiknya dan dibantu oleh tim medis BOSF, Centre for Orangutan Protection (COP). Otopsi dilakukan di tempat, dimana lokasi orangutan dikubur.
Dari otopsi yang berjalan sekitar dua jam, tim otopsi mengungkapkan :
1. Dipastikan adalah satwa jenis orangutan berjenis kelamin jantan dewasa.
2. Pada bagian leher ditemukan lebih 3 luka yang disebabkan oleh benda tajam sehingga leher putus atau tebasan
3. Ditemukan 17 peluru senapan angin : 1 peluru senapan angin di paha kiri, 14 peluru senapan angin di badan bagian depan dan 2 peluru senapan angin dibagian belakang badan atau punggung.
4. Terdapat 7 tulang rusuk sebelah kiri yang patah.
5. Perkiraan kematian ketika ditemukan pada hari Senin sudah 3 hari.
6. Lambung pecah karena peluru senapan angin.
7. Jantung terkena peluru senapan angin.
8. Paru-paru terkena peluru senapan angin.
9. Bagian dada sebelah kiri terdapat luka lebam akibat benda tumpul yang menyebabkan tulang rusuk patah.
10. Hilangnya rambut atau bulu disebabkan oleh arus air.
11. Tidak ditemukan adanya microchip atau dipastikan orangutan liar.
12. Pencernaan normal, terdapat kulit kayu dan daun-daunan yang belum tercerna sempurna.
“Hasil otopsi hari ini telah membuktikan bahwa kematian orangutan karena manusia, itu dibuktikan dengan ditemukannya banyak peluru senapan angin. Dugaan kuat kami kematian orangutan ini karena ditembak menggunakan senapan angin menembus jantung, paru-paru dan lambung. Kemudian kepala ditebas. Patah tulang iga dan putusnya kepala karena tebasan harusnya membuat Kepolisian dan terutama KLHK untuk bisa lebih bersemangat mengungkap kasus ini. Kewibawaan KLHK dalam kasus ini dipertaruhkan.”, kata Ramadhani, Manager Perlindungan Habitat COP.
Mayat orangutan setelah otopsi dibawa dan dikubur di BOSF Nyaru Menteng untuk alasan keamanan.
