The other begging orangutan with wound on the head, have been rescued and trans located to a conservation forest. The rescue operation itself was running smoothly.
As predicted before, the orangutan came down to kampong early morning and we were ready with tranquilizer gun. We attracted him away from people to avoid something goes wrong. It was take about 15 minutes only to sleep him and we did quick check and necessary treatment. We search any bullets in his body and thanks God, we didn’t find any. We gave him long lasting antibiotics to prevent infection on his head.
Now, he is safe and sound in the conservation forest. Let’s hope the Mother Nature cure him in the new home. By the way, do you have a name for him? Let us know what do you think.
